Excelent Transcriptions!!!!

If you like Malmsteen's trilogy album, you should get this book. It has the most complete tabs you'll ever find of Malmsteen the only problem with it is that you buy it hopping that you'll end up playing like Yingwie, and of course you don't, unless you practice enough. The only reason I don't give this book 5 stars, is because the frustration one gets, but anyway, if you like Malmsteen, you should get it.

This book will help you deal with those frustatring solos that Yngwie does so fast. "Crying" is possibly the best transcription I've seen in a music book. All the songs have the chords done nicely, and the fast solos are transribed note-to-note! YES! Very good job! I hope to see more good tab books like this soon!

Wolf should have known better...

I saved up and bought this book as a 17 yr old kid back in the 80s...most other reviews are correct, you wont get a whole lot out of this book unless you put in 6-8+ hours a day practicing...i actually was playing that much guitar back then, and this was and still is above and beyond what most of us can ever hope to play...
...kudos to Wolf Marshall for attempting to (and succeeding for the most part) transcribe a truely amazing album...curiously though, i have always wondered over the years, why Marshall used a 22 fret guitar and not the 21 fret like Yngwie would most certainly have used?...the only Stratocasters i am aware of with a 22 fret neck were a few japanese built strats, and its highly unlikely Malmer's would have used one of those to record Trilogy...in any case it is as close as you'll likely get without taking a lesson from Yngwie himself...
