Excelent reference book

I have David's book on A7r II and only thing I regretted on this book that I bought paper copy instead of kindle. I got A6000 book on kindle and love it. I can take it with me on smartphone and look up things in a field. A6000 guide is very similar to A7r II guide in structure with many practical tips and illustrations. Very helpful to me and must have for somebody who never had alpha camera.

Pietro (Pete) Denevi is the son of Italian immigrants who made a name for himself as an athlete, coach, and entrepreneur.

The Denevi family found a home in Los Gatos, California, in a large Italian community in a very small town.

Pete was said to be the best athlete in the history of Los Gatos High School, which is quite an accomplishment considering the great athletes this school has produced.

Pete went on to San Jose State College after serving in the military and was chosen All-League quarterback and also a star in baseball, basketball, and heavyweight boxing champion. Pete's roommate and favorite receiver was the well-known 49er great, Billy Wilson.

After a highly successful athletic career in college, Pete had to choose between professional baseball and football. Frankie Crosetti and Joe DiMaggio, Yankee players, wanted him to play with the Yankees, but Pete signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates wanted him to play immediately.

After injuries terminated his pro-baseball career, Pete went into coaching, while simultaneously building recreational facilities in California and Arizona. Pete has built and operated numerous tennis clubs, golf courses, country clubs and indoor athletic facilities. His efforts garnered the attention of Howard Hughes and many others.

Perhaps some of the more interesting aspects of Pete's story are the famous people you will encounter in the book. You will read about Pete making spaghetti sauce with Frank Sinatra, developing a friendship with Pope Paul VI as a result of accidentally knocking him down, kissing Marilyn Monroe and Lucille Ball, playing tennis with Paul Newman, who spent much of the court time drinking beer, and many, many more stories.
